Emmy Award-winning actor and director Ben Gazzara died Friday in Manhattan. He had been in hospice care for pancreatic cancer.
Gazzara starred as Brick in the original Broadway cast of Cat on a Hot Tin Roof in 1955, and appeared in a number of films and television shows in addition to his stage career. Don Cornelius, creator and host of Soul Train, was found dead Wednesday morning in his Los Angeles, CA home of an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound. A family member discovered Cornelius around 4 am, and he was pronounced dead at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center at 4:56 am.

Robert Hegyes died Thursday morning after suffering an apparent heart attack.
The actor was best known for his role of Juan Epstein on the ’70′s sitcom Welcome Back Kotter, which starred John Travolta and Gabe Kaplan.
After his 4 seasons on Welcome Back Kotter, Hegyes costarred on Cagney & Lacey as Detective Manny Esposito, and also appeared on The Love Boat, NewsRadio and CHiPS. The actor taught occassional master classes at his alma mater, Rowan University.

Actor and comedian Tracy Morgan was hospitalized Sunday after collapsing at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
Morgan was being honored at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards, where he received the Spotlight Initiative Award. He collapsed after his speech.
