Monday night was a good one for the Magnet. Eric Kelly, former Golden Gloves boxer and good friend of Tom’s, found himself with an extra ticket to Damon Dash’s birthday celebration for Noel Ashman at “Luck Strike” in NYC. So, he called the Magnet around 8 PM and invited him to come along.
Damon Dash is the co-founder of Roc-A-Fella Records with Jay Z and Noel Ashman owns clubs in NYC with Matt deMatt, so, in true Magnet fashion, Tom found himself at a party with a lot of celebrities. Along with meeting Nicole Murphy (Eddie Murphy’s ex), DJ Grand Master Flash, Michael Strahan, and Rakim, the Magnet came across Dean Winters (Rescue Me, OZ, 30 Rock). You may have recently seen Winters as “Mayhem” in the Allstate Insurance commercials.
Tom also got a chance to talk to Danielle Staub, who came to the party with Lori. While all the other celebrities were unofficially announced, Danielle and Lori somehow slipped in without his noticing around 11/11:30. When the Magnet saw them, they were quite cozy together on the couch.
When the Magnet spoke to her, he complimented her performance in the previous week’s RHONJ and she thanked him. But, when he mentioned that he grew up with the Manzo’s, she got a little snide. “I feel sorry for you, honey.”
