N.J.Housewives show support for breast cancer awareness event

Categories: Celebrity

Thursday night was housewives night at Faces Plus Salon in Wayne, N.J., where New Jersey’s Celebrity Magnet Tom Murro met with two more of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” — Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita (Dina Manzo is the last of the housewives to not meet the Magnet, but Murro plans on catching up with her Monday at the New Jersey Fashion Week event.)

Murro said Laurita and Manzo were both very warm and he walked away with a good feeling after meeting them in person. The event was for breast cancer awareness hosted by Faces Plus, featuring customized shirts worn by Manzo and Laurita. A new concept in charity T-shirts by a hot new designer from New Jersey, Eric Madsen of Foundation Fashions.

The first thing Murro noticed about Caroline Manzo was just how petite she was — she insisted Murro mentioned that. “This cute, small woman has such a strong presence,” said Murro.

We’re not sure how Manzo comes across so strongly on the show, but Murro was really relieved that she was quite sweet in person-Get intimidated much, Mr. Magnet?

After the event, there was some small talk about “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” show in the parking lot; Manzo went home, and Murro and his wife, Kelly, talked to Laurita about what brought her to New Jersey. The daughter of a Colonel, Laurita was born at Fort Monmouth. She described growing up “everywhere” including Missouri, Kansas, Virginia, Germany, and even Korea (South, we presume.)

While living in Las Vegas, she traveled to Chicago for a modeling job where she met her future husband. Chris noticed her and they soon went out to dinner with some of her co-workers. After six years of long-distance dating, Laurita moved to New Jersey, and as they say “the rest is history.” If you’re keeping score, she didn’t kiss him on the first date.
