Two words: leather and fetish.
Yes, that’s how I spent my Saturday night! I was invited by the gay men’s Club Feathers to attend and judge last night’s Blaque Party in River Edge, New Jersey, and I was ready and willing to accept! I had judged their Halloween costume contest last year, so I was already in love with the place and the people. And I teamed up with the same wonderful judges, too: Adam Barta from MTV and Tone Tone from Cake Boss.
The Blaque Party which is a smaller scale, New Jersey version of the now famed “The Black Party” that’s been going on for over thirty years in New York, is basically leather and fetish. It’s a party where all the men dress up in leather and… go to town, so to speak. They’ve got their chaps on, this on, that on. I mean, you know of it, they’ve got it. These hunks with their great bodies (and I’m telling you, they were!), were all just in full gear leather. Some with practically nothing on!
Whether it was laced up boots, g-strings, whatever they worked from head to toe, it was my job to determine which one was better than the others. Fetish beyond fetish! The winner was wearing all the right gear, truly “dressed for success,” and won himself two tickets to the Broadway play “La Cage aux Folles”!
The evening was just fantastic! And they had this great cake depicting the Blaque Party. You can only imagine! But it was a beautiful cake. It was a true celebration all night. A lot of dancing, a lot of partying! I wasn’t doing any of the above, but I played my role well: just watching and judging. And these guys were loving it!
The gay community is just so fabulous to me. I really love them and vice versa. They’re so gracious, so nice, so respectful. Anything they invite me to, I go! It’s always bound to be a great time!
Wow
Let’s see the cake! I love Tone Tone and Cake Boss!
The stripper cake tone tone made would have been perfect! Lol
