As unemployment rates continue to remain static, teachers continue to get laid off, & people get increasingly frustrated with the state of the economy, I’m sure you’re all pleased to know that the Jersey Shore castmembers will now receive SIX FIGURES PER EPISODE in their upcoming season.
Entertainment Weekly has assured us that Snooki and company will get “at least” $100,000 per episode (at 13 episodes for the season, that comes out to at least $1.3 million before taxes), which will certainly keep them in Ed Hardy and Spray Tan for a few seasons.
No word on whether they’ll use those funds to purchase an education, a diction class, self-respect, & cultural literacy.
I feel better about those college degrees now…
