Details are sketchy, but a source close to Jon Gosselin’s ex Hailey Glassman informed us that Hailey and “Frank The Entertainers” Kerry Schwartz headed down to Haiti to help out local orphans, thinking it would be a good experience for both. Despite the travel alerts warning American citizens not to travel to Haiti, the ladies flew down yesterday to the Dominican Republic where they took a five-hour cab ride to Haiti and things soon took a turn for the worse.
On the way, the cab driver hit a pedestrian, and the locals decided to take the law into their own hands by beating the driver to a pulp – while Hailey and Kerry ran for their lives, causing Hailey to fall, busting her lip open and in need of stitches. The police finally showed up and took Hailey and Kerry to the station, unable to provide any medical attention.
Hailey and Kerry were eventually picked up by someone from the charity organization who brought them to the island, and the frightened pair spent the night camped in a very dangerous area without security, internet or medical assistance. At this time,the two women are terrified and are planning on how to safely make their way back to the airport.
Adam Barta, a co-star with Kerry in an upcoming reality show which is, ironically, about volunteer work, reached out to the US embassy for assistance and the only response was an out of office automated message. We are still waiting for more details and will post an update as information comes in.
Thoughts, prayers and even good-vibe wishes are appreciated for our part-time columnist Hailey and her friend Kerry for their safe return home.
