E! News anchor and Fashion Police host Giuliana Rancic continues her ongoing struggle with breast cancer and announced that she will undergo a double mastectomy and reconstructive surgery.
Rancic appeared on the Today show with her husband Bill this morning, revealing the latest news about her fight.
“If I had chosen to do another lumpectomy and radiation and anti-estrogen therapy, that basically puts me into early menopause, then I would have to put off having a baby for several years. But to be honest, at the end all it came down to was choosing to live and not looking over my shoulder the rest of my life,” Rancic said.
After receiving a double mastectomy Rancic would have less than a one percent chance of the cancer returning.
After announcing her decision, family, friends, and fans shared their support for Rancic’s brave decision. E! News cohost, Ryan Seacrest, said “Her positivity positivity throughout this ordeal is a true inspiration.”
