Kimberly Buffington-Quaid, wife of actor Dennis Quaid, has filed for divorce. The petition says that the marriage “has become insupportable because of discord or conflict of personalities.”
The Quaids have been married for almost 8 years and are the parents of 4-yr old twins Thomas Boone and Zoe Grace. In 2007, the twins nearly died after accidentally receiving an overdose of heparin at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The Quaids sued the hospital and drug manufacturer and were awarded a settlement of $750,000.
The couple will share custody of the twins, while Buffington-Quaid retains possession of the couple’s home and Mercedes. Quaid gets the Cadillac. They will have joint custody of the Range Rover. She wants fair division of community assets; Quaid reportedly wants her to get nothing.
This will be Dennis Quaid’s third divorce. He was previously married to, and divorced from, actresses PJ Soles and Meg Ryan.
