Melanie Griffith seems to have forgotten the old adage: “How you get ‘em is how you lose’em.”
Shame, too, because reports are now circulating that her 15-year marriage to Antonio Banderas is coming to an end.
According to LatinTRENDS, the long-time couple have hit a rough patch after the hunky Banderas was photographed kissing another woman by the paparazzi.
Of course, it seems Griffith has a bit of a short-term memory when it comes to how she landed the “Puss in Boots” star: the duo met on the set of their flop movie, Two Much, while Griffith was still married to Don Johnson & Banderas was married to his wife Ana Leza.
Not for anything, but even Madonna — whom no one could ever accuse of being sexually discriminate — knew better than to hit on Banderas while he was still married to Ana Leza. (Don’t believe me? Watch Truth or Dare.)
In any event, as is typical in any Hollywood romance, Griffith is more concerned about her career than she is about the ending of her marriage. According to The Huffington Post, “Melanie’s a mess. Not only is she in jeopardy of losing the love of her life, but her career is in the toilet while Antonio’s star is continuing to rise. I think Melanie’s self esteem hit an all time low and she believed Antonio was torturing her. For years, it’s as if she’s been consumed with jealousy over his flirting and outspoken love for beautiful women.”
Well, Melanie — and all you other ladies out there — just remember: HOW YOU GET’EM IS HOW YOU LOSE’EM.
