Katie Holmes isn’t wasting any time moving on! Just hours after filing for divorce from Tom Cruise, Katie packed her bags and moved into her own apartment in the NYC vicinity, taking Suri, 6, along with her while Tom continues to work on his upcoming film, Oblivion, in Iceland.
Katie, 33, filed for divorce in NYC on Thursday, requesting primary residence custody and sole legal custody of Suri, according to TMZ, which would grant her the authority over all important decisions concerning Suri’s care. However, Radar Online reported yesterday that Cruise will file for divorce in California, possibly giving him a better shot of at least partial custody of their young daughter.
Oddly, all of Cruise’s marriages ended when his ex-wives were 33 years old, but the divorce is reportedly rooted in his deep, strict loyalty to scientology, and his career, among other things.
