This ABC crew is far from one big happy family right now. Currently, there is a huge discrepancy in what the actors should be paid and Phil Dunphy is not happy yo!
Things got really bad on Tuesday when a table read for season four was cancelled when the members did not show up, purposefully.
Renegotiations have gotten u-g-l-y between ABC and Ty Burrell, Julie Bowen, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Ed O’Neill, and Sofia Vergara. If you know the show then that’s Phil, Claire, Mitchell, Cameron, Jay, and Gloria.
E! News confirmed that when the show started, O’Neill was making a whopping $100,000 per episode (due to his brand name), while the others were in the $60,000-a-show range.
What will it cost ABC? You ask! They each want around $200,000 an episode.
If negotiations go through, that will be one rich family! But, until they do catch the 2010 Emmys skit that Modern Family held. It is still one of my favorite ModFam moments.
