A truly sad day for foodies the world over: celebrity chef Anthony Sedlak, host of Food Network’s “The Main,” has died. He was 29 years old.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Sedlak died from what his family is calling an “undiagnosed medical condition.”

In addition to his hosting duties on “The Main,” Sedlak was the owner of The American Cheesesteak Co., which was the first restaurant of its kind in Canada — dedicated solely to the infamous Philly Cheesesteak.

Sedlak’s family released a statement saying that his funeral would be a private service in Vancouver.

We wish the family our deepest condolences at this difficult time.

Rest in Peace, Anthony Sedlak.
