19-year old Miley Cyrus has found issue with critics who say she’s too young to marry 22-year old actor, Liam Hemsworth.
However, instead of taking her qualms to Twitter as usual, the starlet has discussed them in a recent interview with Marie Claire.
“Life is too short to not spend every moment making the person who makes you the happiest happy in return,” Miley stated, mentioning that she and her beau have known each other a long time and are incredibly comfortable and happy with each other.
The pair met in 2009 when they co-starred in The Last Song, and they have practically been inseparable ever since.
Hemsworth proposed to Cyrus in June, much to her surprise and happiness.
“We’d been kind of talking about [getting engaged], and I saw something like it online at one point and thought it was really pretty,” Cyrus told the magazine, retelling how she’d shown a Neil Lane ring to Hemsworth despite having no clue he would propose so soon.
Thankfully, the ring stands out among Cyrus’s other beads and bangles, something Cyrus was joyous about. ”But I usually wear rose gold,” she told Marie Claire. “I just love that it’s old and has a story. And I’m happy, because it doesn’t look like anything else I wear.”
However, the fashion of the wedding isn’t what’s most important to Miley. “I don’t really care about the wedding or the piece of paper as much as I do the promise we’ve made to each other,” she said, before adding on. “And we want to have a long engagement.”
Miley Cyrus seems to be growing up, as she starts a life with Liam Hemsworth in the house her parents gave her after they moved two houses over.
