(PCM) The “Black Swan” co-stars, Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied, married Saturday Night in Big Sur, California. They danced and sang into holy matrimony in a Jewish ceremony at a private house, surrounded by friends, families and 14-month-old son. The exchanged vows, after two years of engagement, in the dark, following their tradition of privacy since meeting on the set of the Darren Aronofsky film.
Millepied, a trained ballet dancer, choreographed the thrilling movie and played the role of Portman’s dance partner. They reportedly started dating in 2010, but even back then they were determined to keep everything to themselves. The movie also helped Natalie win her first Golden Globe and Academy Award.
In her Golden Globes acceptance speech, a then-pregnant Portman told the crowd, “Benjamin choreographed the film, and also you might remember him in the movie as the guy when they ask, ‘Would you sleep with that girl?’ And he’s like, ‘Pffsh, no.’ He’s the best actor. It’s not true: He totally wants to sleep with me!”
So, after one year together, the couple was engaged and expecting their first child together.”I have always kept my private life private but I will say that I am indescribably happy and feel very grateful to have this experience,” Portman revealed in a statement in December 2010.
Besides her new life as a wife and mother of a 14-month-old, Natalie has a few upcoming projects, inlcuding “Thor: The Dark World,” “Knight of Cups” and “Untitled Terrence Malick Project.”
