The closing ceremony of the Olympics is going to be full of girl power! The iconic Spice Girls will be performing Sunday night to celebrate the end of the games with some Spice.
One Direction, The Who, George Michael, Muse, Russell Brand, Jessie J, and Queen will also be performing!
E! News exclusively reported seeing the five pop stars rehearsing in London as they prepared to take on the world’s stage. As a child of the 90s, I am ecstatic to see Victoria Beckham (Posh), Melanie Brown (Scary), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty), Emma Bunton (Baby), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger, Sexy) perform again.
They were seen in East London’s Ford Factory wearing all black and riding on top of some lit-up black cabs. Talk about some SEXY girl power!
For anyone who does not know much about the Spice Girls, they were a British pop group that formed in 1994. Their debut song, “Wannabe” took over the world in 1996. Selling over 75 million records worldwide made these girls the best-selling female group of all time.
Of course they would be the best-selling female group, I can’t even begin to count how many number one hits they have had. All of them being catchy and full of energy.
I especially love that they each had a specific personality. When I was growing up I always wanted to be Sexy spice, in my high school years I wanted to be Sporty spice, and then I loved Baby spice. What was your “Spice-identity?” While you think about that check out my favorite Spice Girls product – SPICE WORLD!
