We spent last Friday at the world premiere of “The Mighty Macs” – The story about Cathy Rush becoming the head basketball coach at Immaculatta, a small, all-girls Catholic college is Chester County, PA. Though her team has no gym, no uniforms , and very low expectations for any girl’s athletic program (it was 1972, after all), Coach Rush looks to steer her girls to their first national championship. Rapper T.I., on an early release for his weapons violation, was picked up by VH1, now a soon-to-be reality star in a luxury motor coach and transported in a caravan that included four other vehicles, abrought to a halfway house 375 miles away, in Atlanta, Georgia. The trip was captured the VH1 crew for use in an upcoming reality show that will chronicle T.I. as he gets his life back together.

According to the AP, an Amy Winehouse family spokesman says toxicology tests show no illegal drugs in her body, to the surprise of almost eveyone. A full report is due to be released on October.
The lives of a number of celebrity addicts have been saved by a drug rehab program, but it is unfortunate that some celebrities chose not to seek treatment and eventually succumbed to their addictions.
