(PCM) Alan O’Day, the talented and sometimes quirky writer of many popular songs for artists like the Righteous Brothers, Cher and Helen Reddy, lost his battle with cancer on Friday, his record label announced. He was 72.

The songwriter, producer and artist died at his home in Westwood, Calif. surrounded by family and friends.

(PCM) Selena Gomez (PCM Interview) says she is proud of her new R-rated thriller “Spring Breakers,” in theaters now, but hopes her young fans don’t watch it.

(PCM) Twilight Wolf Pack actor Bronson Pelletier was arrested last week for “marking his territory” in an airport terminal.

He was charged with public intoxication after he urinated on the floor at LAX while waiting for a flight.

If Pelletier is convicted, he could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine for the misdemeanor. He is due in court on January 7.

Liam Neeson does it again! If it wasn’t enough that the first installment of Taken did incredibly well, now Taken 2 has brought the enterprise to a whole other level.
