(PCM) Miley Cyrus announced Tuesday that her beloved Yorkie, Lila, has passed away.

“For everyone asking … I have never been so hurt in my life,” Miley tweeted. “My heart has never been so broken….. Lila my sweet baby girl has passed away.”

She did not post the cause of Lila’s death, but the dog was hospitalized in October.

Lila was only two years old and was adopted by Miley in 2011.
